He treats every patient like a member of his own family, providing individualized attention that helps them reach and even exceed their goals. Interested in learning more about him? Just keep reading below.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

While growing up, Dr. Brumbaugh’s dentist and physician were both family friends, and he spent a lot of time with them in his early years. After shadowing both in their daily routines, he eventually decided to go into Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS). Over the course of his college career, he interacted with many different professors (both general dentists and specialist dentists) who were instrumental in sharing their philosophy and love of dentistry with him. By the end of his junior year, he started to question his original goal and realized that he liked the idea of seeing and working with patients over an extended period of time, not just for a single treatment. Today, he still feels grateful that he chose to become a general dentist in the end and wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Brumbaugh completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston – in fact, he was Class President all four years and recognized in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. After completing an advanced program in adult restorative dentistry, along with several cosmetic-based programs, he was invited to join the teaching faculty at the Center of Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry.

Today, Dr. Brumbaugh is considered an expert on IV conscious sedation and regularly lectures throughout the United States. He pursues continuing education regularly to keep his dental training modern and up-to-the-minute for the sake of his patients.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

When he isn’t busy caring for teeth, Dr. Brumbaugh really enjoys boating and offshore fishing. He also practices long-distance target shooting, spends a lot of time gardening and doing work in the yard, and tackles various home remodeling projects.
